Katie Thompson is the Administrative Assistant in our DeKalb, Illinois office, filling the shoes of Alice Roberts, who retired in 2023 after 20 years with Walsh & Associates.

With her bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Katie spent more than 30 years in the healthcare industry, primarily in customer service roles - a perfect fit for her easygoing but efficient manner - but most recently managed the operations for multiple medical specialties. She decided to change career paths for a little more work-life balance without losing the day-to-day challenges that she enjoys. She chose Walsh & Associates for its reputation in the community and because, according to her, we are "a fun group of hardworking individuals."

When not running our DeKalb office, Katie enjoys reading, shopping, attending concerts with friends, volunteering for the local soccer league (DKCU) in the spring and summer, and spending time with her niece and nephew.
